Douai Abbey: The Monastery of St Edmund, King & Martyr
20 February 2022
» Like most of the UK, Douai did not escape totally unscathed from Storms Dudley and Eunice. A number of trees came down and the tin roof off one of our old garages blown off. Thge Met Office Stay-at-Home advice meant that the Douai Abbey Parishes Trust meeting due to be held at St Gregory's Stratford, the first in-person meeting since the onset of Covid, had to be held on Zoom yet again. The Zoom was not unaffected either, as both the abbot and Fr Francis were taken offline at different points by the storm.

» A few little glitches in the submitting of the online booking form for the guesthouse have now been ironed out. Still, if you have not received a reply to your enquiry after 24 hours then feel free to email Fr Oliver to double-check.
