Douai Abbey: The Monastery of St Edmund, King & Martyr
Published in News · 19 September 2021
» The first post-lockdown concert was held on Thursday, 16 September by Tenebrae as part of the delayed Newbury Spring Festival. Entitled Russian Treasures, it comprised choral music of the Russian liturgical tradition. The concert was booked out, with appropriate Covid distancing, a sign of the appetite for the resumption of life after the Covid restrictions.  You can see details of the next few concerts on the Concerts page.
» On the same day, Fr Abbot accompanied by Fr Gabriel Wilson, administered the sacrament of Confirmation to about 60 of the girls of St Mary’s School, Ascot.
