Lockdown Round 2

Douai Abbey: The Monastery of St Edmund, King & Martyr
Published by HSK in News · 2 November 2020
» With the imposition of a new lockdown from 5 November until 2 December, there will be no public services in the abbey church though the monks' daily round of liturgical prayer will continue as ever.

» The abbey church will be open on Sundays from 2 to 3 pm during the lockdown for private prayer subject to the provisions regarding social distancing, the wearing of masks and sanitizing hands.

» The Abbot Geoffrey and Abbot Edmund remain busy writing the reports after completing the remote visitation of Ampleforth Abbey.

» At the end of October Fr Oliver turned 70. Our catering manager made him a cake for the occasion. Ad multos annos!
