Douai Abbey: The Monastery of St Edmund, King & Martyr
Published by HSK in News · 12 July 2015
» In the past few weeks the webmaster has been in Australia and things have been busy since his return, with many of the community away on holidays and so extra jobs for the able-bodied who remained! Updates should now resume as before.

» Over recent weeks Abbot Geoffrey has confirmed 25 boys from Winchester College in the abbey church, and sizeable contingent of the community travelled to Paris to commemorate the foundation of our monastery there 400 years ago (a full report will be in the next issue of The Douai Magazine).

» It has been very hot here, as those in England will know, and Douai's fields have been left all khaki and summer-lush, to the delight of both man and beast. It makes for a pleasant evening scene.
