Fr Abbot is currently at the abbots' congress in Rome. On Saturday the assembled abbots elected Abbot Gregory Polan of Conception Abbey in Missouri, USA to succeed Abbot Notker Wolf as Abbot Primate of the Benedictine Confederation. Papal confirmation of the election should be a formality. May the Lord bless him in his new role. Ad multos annos!
