Douai Abbey: The Monastery of St Edmund, King & Martyr
Published by HSK in News · 16 February 2016
» A short video showing some aerial footage of the monastery has been added to the homepage. It is homemade, a little rushed and so not very sophisticated. It does, however, give something of an idea of our monastery and its envrions. It is set to quiet music, so you may want to ensure your volume is not too high if you watch it.

» Also added to the homepage is a link to Universalis, which will take you to the Mass readings and Divine Office for the current day. It is set for the calendar for Portsmouth diocese, so you may very occasionally find an unexpected saint commemorated. You can choose your local liturgical calendar at the Universalis website.

» The English Benedictine Congregation's recently-released video, To Prefer Nothing to Christ, has been moved from the homepage and can now be found at the English Benedictines' page on this website.

» Today Fr Oliver, accompanied by our postulant Br Alex, gave a talk to the Anglican parish of St Michael and All Angels in Abingdon, on the history of the use of the psalms in Catholic worship. It was part of series of talks at the parish by various speakers on subject of the psalms.
