Published by HSK in News · 11 October 2015
» Last Friday Fr Benedict conducted the funeral of his mother, Millie Thompson, at his parish church in Studley. Fr Hugh motored up to join him from the abbey, and Frs Austin, Francis and Alexander joined Fr Benedict from their respective parishes. Please keep her, and Fr Benedict, in your prayers.

» Also last Friday Abbot Geoffrey and Fr Hugh attended the annual dinner of the Society of Our Lady of Winton (SOLAW) at the Savile Club in London. SOLAW is the association of the Catholic parents of Winchester College, where the 130 Catholic boys in the school are served by several monks from Douai. Dr Ralph Townsend, the Headmaster of Winchester College, gave the keynote address at what will be his last SOLAW dinner as headmaster.

» On Saturday Fr Alban returned from Ampleforth where he had been leading that monastery's parish fathers in their annual retreat.
