Douai Abbey: The Monastery of St Edmund, King & Martyr
Published by HSK in News · 22 March 2016
» Fr Alban has returned from a week away staying with his father, who will face surgery in a few weeks.

» The Sunday before he left he was able to lead the Wokingham Catenians in a day of recollection here at the monastery. There were over 30 of them who attended. Fr Alban can be seen below with the Catenian Provincial President Br Gerry, Circle President Br Rory, and Br Mike.

» Last Thursday pupils from Thorngrove preparatory school visited the monastery spending a day on mixed arts, with talks from Fr Oliver, and attending our midday prayer.

» Today Fr Peter and Benjamin will be attending the Chrism Mass at Portsmouth Cathedral. Otherwise today will be the community's Holy Week quiet day, so it would help us if non-urgent communication could be left till tomorrow.

» Our schedule of services for Holy Week is unchanged from last year's, and all are invited to join us for the Sacred Triduum:
