Douai Abbey: The Monastery of St Edmund, King & Martyr
Published by HSK in News · 20 May 2016
» Fr Nicholas has been admitted to the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading with a respiratory infection. He is likely to remain there for about a week. That is as much as we know at this stage. At least one of the brethren will visit him each day. Please pray for him.

» Last night Frs Abbot and Alban attended the launch (hosted by the Jesuits at Farm Street in London) of the new book, The Ministry of the Printed Word: Scholar Priests of the Twentieth Century, published by Downside Abbey Press. Fr Abbot wrote the Foreword for the book. A number of English Benedictines are covered, including Cardinal Gasquet, Dom David Knowles and Bishop Christopher Butler, as well as such luminaries as Ronnie Knox and Adrian Fortescue. It is avaliable direct from Downside Abbey.
