Douai Abbey: The Monastery of St Edmund, King & Martyr

» Yesterday, Alison Day finished her three-year contract as our librarian and archvist. The contract had been funded by grants from charitable trusts. She moves on to the University of Bournemouth to continue her career in archival conservation.

» Also this week Sandi, one of our assistant cooks, left us due to the weight of her other commitments. Some of the brethren held her roast potatoes to be unsurpassed.

» This morning our novice, Br Justin, left the community to pursue other vocational paths.
