Douai Abbey: The Monastery of St Edmund, King & Martyr
Published by HSK in News · 30 December 2015
High winds have been lashing the monastery today, being the southern edge of Storm Frank which is set to bring further woe to the north of England. Otherwise the monastery is experiencing a soothing calm after the feverish activity of the last week of Advent and the Christmas liturgies. The liturgies were well attended, especially the first Mass of Christmas. which saw pretty much a full church, even with extra seating put out. Our postulant, Br Alexander, has been granted a two week break.
