Conditions were rather cramped when the two schools were combined,
and the monastic community was also resident, so that various additions
were put on to the buildings during the next few years.
The biggest building project came in 1914-5, when the architectural
firm of Pugin Powell was commissioned to erect in the neo-Gothic
style the monastery building left which became a school
residence after 1968 and the cloister, refectory and dormitory
below.
