On February 11 the two houses, St Gregory's and St Maw's were demolished,
on Feb 12 only a garage remained standing.

By February 16, the workshop, built as a temporary measure in 1916, in the quad next to St Mary's church, and moved in 1956 to its present site; and the temporary buildings put up in 1947 for laboratories, and used latterly by the art department were demolished.
