It is recommended that all who minister at Mass, by reading the scriptures, singing the psalm, or giving communion should take part in a Day of Recollection each year. These days will attempt to deepen our spirituality so that we can become more effective ministers to our brothers and sisters.

Cost £15, reduction for those on low income.
Please bring food to share at lunch time. Tea, coffee and soup will be provided.

Follow up workshop: MANAGING CONFLICT IN OUR RELATIONSHIPS: The Benedictine Way

led by Fodhla McGrane PhD & Gervase Holdaway OSB

Saturday September 19, 2009. 09.30 - 17.30

This workshop is for those who attended one of the Managing Conflict in our Relationships: The Benedicitne Way weekends at Douai Abbey or at Worth Abbey. It will be a hands-on, practical day allowing us time to explore our real life conflicts. Our sessions will be supplemented with material taught on the weekend course. Limited to 12 participants, places will be allocated firstly to former retreants, any remaining places will be open to anybody who is interested. So if that's you, you will be welcome.

Fodhla works as a teacher and trainer in interpersonal communication skills, she is an oblate of St Benedict (a lay person who follows the Rule of St Benedict in daily life), she has a PhD in interpersonal dispute resolution in the workplace and her work is published in the Leadership and Organisational Development Journal.
