Often people need healing from ills or crises brought about through other members of their immediate families or the generations before, possibly unknowingly. This workshop will help participants identify these causes and allow God to heal them. Those who run this workshop are not necessarily qualified in the secular disciplines of psychiatry, psychotherapy or counselling. |
Workshop: HOW GOD HEALS (& HOW WE CAN HELP)Dr Nancy Reeves Saturday September 25 2010. 09.45 - 17.00 A loss is any experience which restricts us, from the concrete (bereavement and chronic illness) to the nebulous (shattering of a dream). Our God longs for each of us to experience the healing we need. In this workshop Dr Nancy Reeves will present ideas and helping tools that show how God offers us healing, and how we can respond to this divine offer. This day is appropriate for professional and lay helpers, as well as for grieving people. The two groups will be separated for experiential exercises. For example, while Nancy presents material specifically for helpers, the grieving participants will do reflective activities.
