We are a community of monks committed to living according to the Rule of St Benedict

"Listen" is the first word of that Rule.

We listen for God's word
  • in our celebration of the Liturgy day by day,
  • in our lectio divina when we ponder and pray on the words of scripture,
  • in our obedience to the Abbot and to one another,
  • in our care for creation in the world around us.

As Benedictines we take the monastic vows of
  • Obedience - to the Rule and the Abbot
  • Conversion of Life - constantly living out our baptism
  • Stability - to the community, giving us rootedness and a sense of place.
