p&F

The house was built at the end of the eighteenth century, and was acquired by the parish of St-Pierre in 1925 to serve as a presbytery. With the recent parish reorganisation it had become redundant.
The turret and ornaments seen above the roof is on the nearby church of St-Pierre.

The fine wood carved statue of St Benedict,(right) wearing an English Benedictine habit, by the Tyrolese artist Ferdinand Stufflesser, greets one in the entrance hall. It had originally been in the our parish church of St Augustine, Liverpool, which has now been demolishged. The for a time it was in the presbytery at Ormskirk.
