This afternoon Fr Oliver went to feed the sheep and found one ewe had given birth to twins. He called Fr Hugh to do the necessary post-natal procedures, and there was some confusion for a while as another ewe seemed to be trying to claim one of the new lambs for herself. Sometime later Fr Oliver called Fr Hugh down again to attend to a third lamb from the same ewe! This would be our first set of triplets in the flock. However when Fr Hugh arrived they were agog to find a fourth lamb had not long been born. The ewe who seems to have born quadruplets had never looked half as big as one would have expected. It is likely that at least one will die as it is a great strain on the the mothers to feed four. If you would like to adopt one of the three boys (the girl is a rarity, and we want to keep her), then please contact Fr Hugh as soon as you can.
