Douai Abbey: The Monastery of St Edmund, King & Martyr
Published by HSK in News · 15 May 2019
» Last week a large of parishioners from Northwich in Cheshire made Douai a base for a visit to the southern counties. The parish is in the care of Fr Paul Standish, the brother of our own Fr Benjamin.

» Also last week Frs Abbot and Finbar spent three days at Buckfast Abbey at a course on safeguarding run by Praesidium, an American organisation, which provides advice for institutions on safeguarding. Praesidium is directly involved in advising the English Benedictine Congregation on its own safeguarding needs.

» Recently Fr Gervase gave the final part of his presentation on the development of the various editions of the Latin Antiphonale Monasticum, the office book which we use at Vespers every day.

» Please keep Fr Louis in your prayers as he continues to receive hospital care.
