Douai Abbey: The Monastery of St Edmund, King & Martyr

» On 1 May Fr Abbot concelebrated with Bishop Philip Egan as the latter conferred the sacrament of Confirmation to pupils at St Mary's, Ascot. After this Fr Abbot went to Reading Minster to attend the farewell of the Anglican bishop of Reading, Andrew Proud. On 5 May Fr Abbot conferred Confirmation on 15 pupils of Winchester College in St Mary's, Woolhampton.

» The same day the first of hopefully two men arrived to spend a period in our Alongsider programme. Please keep them in your prayers.

» Fr Oliver has attended a provincial bursars' meeting and last Monday Fr Hugh gave one of a series of Eastertide talks at Mile End in London.

» Fr Louis' condition has deteriorated recently and he has been in hospital for treatment and assessment for his future needs. Please keep him in your prayers.
