Published by HSK in News · 30 May 2019
» On 13 May Fr Abbot visited our Midlands parishes, and the next day attended a trust meeting at Oulton Abbey, returning with archives for deposit at Douai. On 15 May he was at the council meeting of the Catholic Records Society, on which sits another Old Dowegian, Dr Paul Arblaster. A week later Fr Abbot was at a meeting at Ushaw of the Catholic Archives Society, of which he is President.

» Fr Hugh attended the launch on 22 May, at St Paul's next to Westminster Cathedral, of Professor Stephen Bullivant's new book, Mass Exodus, published by the Oxford University Press.

» On Friday 24 May, at a meeting of the abbot's council, Peter Bryan was thanked for his valued service as a financial advisor to the monastery. He is leaving his post as bursar of Marlborough College and heading up north.

» Fr Alban is this week in County Meath, Ireland, to lead a retreat for clergy of the local diocese. While there he has been able to visit the Benedictine monastery of Silverstream.

» The same day that Fr Alban left, 26 May, there arrived at Douai Fr Cedd of Ampleforth, here to study our 14th century Guisborough Psalter.
