Douai Abbey: The Monastery of St Edmund, King & Martyr
Published by HSK in News · 20 December 2015
» It has been remarkably quiet here as far as activities go. Apart from an individually-guided/quiet retreat, and some carols' services held in our abbey church by local schools, we have been preparing for Christmas and catching up after the activity of the quatercentennial celebrations these last several weeks.

» At 3.30pm today there will be a service of reflections and carols for Advent in the abbey church, with singing by the Douai Abbey Singers.

The monastic community's first Mass for Christmas will be at 9.00pm on Christmas Eve, with the Christmas Day Mass being held at 11am. Please do come and join us in worship at this special time.
