Douai Abbey: The Monastery of St Edmund, King & Martyr
Published by HSK in News · 9 April 2016
» After a spell of un-remitting illness Fr Louis spent a night in hospital dring the week for observation and tests, which found sepsis. He has returned safely to us and is chipper, though not very mobile. Please keep him your prayers as he recovers.

» Today Fr Gervase celebrated conventual Mass on the occasion his 55th anniversary of priestly ordination. Another milestone lies a short way ahead, when he turns 80 on 21 April. Ad multos annos!

» Fr Edmund is with us from Rome for a few days of community R&R in the gentle, if fickle, English spring.

» The 2015 edition of The Douai Magazine has arrived from the printers. It is bigger than usual as it commemorates our quatercentenary. It will be available in time at the back of the abbey chruch and at reception, as well as being posted to subscribers in the coming week.
