Douai Abbey: The Monastery of St Edmund, King & Martyr
Published by HSK in News · 26 May 2016
» Yesterday Fr Nicholas returned to Douai after his stay at Royal Berkshire Hospital. He is much improved and in very good spirits. He has been keeping a low profile so as not to jeopardize his recovery but is already easing back into his normal routine.

» On Monday night Fr Abbot went to Westminster Cathedral for the solemn reception of a relic of St Thomas Becket tht is normally housed in the cathedral at Esztergom in Hungary. It has been in Hungary for 800 years but no one is quite sure how it got there. The relic is making a week-long pilgrimage in England, led by the Hungarian Cardinal Erdo.

» Today Fr Abbot led the Corpus Christi procession at the famous home of the recusant Eyston family, Mapledurham.
