Douai Abbey: The Monastery of St Edmund, King & Martyr
Published by HSK in News · 13 February 2016
» Last week the Malvern (or patronal) cope was returned from Watts after significant repairs. It returned earlier than expected and has proved very successful. The money to pay for the repairs was raised by the sacristy in an appeal that ran alongside the Wintour vestments exhibition last year. The donors can feel well pleased with the results of their benefaction. Photos will appear in The Douai Magazine.
» On Sunday 7 February Frs Godric and Boniface took part in the Mass at Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral to mark the close of the Year of Consecrated Life. Archbishop Malcolm McMahon OP was the principal celebrant and many religious from the archdiocese were present, including our past pupil, Mark D'Arcy.

» On Monday Fr Abbot will fly to Toulouse to spend several days researching books that once belonged to our monastery in Paris, and which will be included in the nearly-completed electronic catalogue of our Paris library.
