The Symposim involved the study of writings of Dom Augustine Baker, the English Benedictine mystical writer. It celebrated the retirement of Dr James Hogg, the distinguished general editor of the Analecta Cartusians series, for which a number of Baker's works have been edited by Dr John Clark
